Con-way Freight Driver Achieves Two Million Accident-Free Miles

John Ressler Joins Distinguished Group of Con-way Freight Professionals

ANN ARBOR, Mich., and PITTSBURGH - April 10, 2009 - Every industry has
certain unique career milestones which set apart an individual as especially
skilled and accomplished in their profession. For a professional truck
driver, two million miles of safe driving without an accident is the
ultimate measure of excellence. It is an elite club that now counts Irwin,
Pa., resident John Ressler as a member.

Ressler is a driver sales representative for Con-way Freight, a
less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier and the largest subsidiary of
Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW). He safely drove the two million miles between 1987
and 2009. The company recently recognized Ressler's achievement in a
ceremony at its Pittsburgh service center, where he is based.

Ressler has been a professional truck driver for 30 years. His route takes
him from Pittsburgh to Columbus, Ohio, - roughly 450 miles roundtrip.
Previous to reaching two million miles of accident-free driving, he received
safety awards commemorating five, 10, 15 and 20 years of safe driving, as
well as an award for reaching his first million miles. Ressler has been
married to his wife, Teresa, for 29 years. They have three children: Anna,
29; Kelly, 18; and Jonathan, 15. He is also the proud grandfather to two
grandsons, ages 11 and 2. In his free time he enjoys riding ATV quads.

Over the company's 25-year history, more than 1,280 Con-way Freight driver
sales representatives have reached the one-million-mile safe driving
milestone, while more than 90 have driven two million miles accident-free.
