Dart Transit Company announces Contractors of the Month

Eagan, Minnesota – Dart Transit Company announces its March and April 2007 Contractors of the Month.  John Burk at the Dallas Operating Center and Don Moore at the Eagan Operating Center are the March Contractors of the Month.  The April Contractors of the Month are Ron Swenson at the Dallas Operating Center and James Johnston at the Eagan Operating Center.  Contractors of the Month are recognized for their on-time performance, dependability, and safety record.



John Burk started driving in the early 1960’s, and has contracted with Dart since 2004.  Burk owns and operates a 2000 Freightliner FLD 120 with a Dart “National” contract.  “John goes beyond good and reaches for great,” said Calvin Gilbert, Dart Fleet Manager.  “I am proud to be a part of his success.”

Don Moore has contracted with Dart for 18 of his 19-½ years in the trucking industry.  Moore owns and operates a 2004 Freightliner with a Dart “Dedicated” contract.  “I was surprised to be Contractor of the Month,” Moore said.

Ron Swenson has 30 years of experience in the trucking industry and has contracted with Dart for the past two years.  Before that, Swenson drove three years for his niece who was contracted with Dart.  Swenson owns and operates a 1998 Freightliner Classic with a Dart “National” contract.  Being Contractor of the Month, Ron said, “I thought I’d really achieved something.  I was thrilled.  I thought I’d done a great deed.  It really is a great honor.”

James Johnston has contracted with Dart for 14 of his 18 years in the trucking industry.  Johnston owns and operates a 2000 Freightliner with a Dart “National” contract.  “Dart’s a good company,” Johnston said.  “They’ve always treated me well.  And they stand behind you.”

Dart Contractors of the Month receive certificates and gifts from Dart’s “Pro Shop.”  Dart Contractors of the Year are selected from its Contractors of the Month.
