Joseph M. Kaplen Safe Driver of the Year Award

 

This year’s winner of the National Safety Council’s Joseph M. Kaplan Safe Driver of the Year Award goes to our very own Mike Davis. Mike started with Ace Doran as an Owner/Operator in Septem ber of 1980 and has driven over 5.2 million miles. In 2001 the Ohio Trucking Association selected Mike as a Driver of the Year and now he can add another outstanding achievement to his list.

The Joseph M. Kaplan Safe Driver of the Year Award was esta blished in 2004 recognizing “the safe driving performance and practices of individuals” and is based on several criteria including: num ber of years employed, total num ber of miles driven, total num ber of accidents in 2005, total num ber of accidents in driving career and attendance record. Mike will be honored at the Annual National Safety Council Safety Award Banquet Monday, June 5, 2006 in Atlanta, Ga. Alan C. McMillan, President and CEO of the National Safety Council will be presenting Mr. Davis this award for his outstanding driver safety.

Ohio Trucking Association Banquet

 

Terry Eshleman received the Truck Driver of the Month Award at the Ohio Trucking Associations Banquet held Friday, May 19. That same day he received notice that he had been chosen as one of the National Safety Council’s Distinguished Safe Driver Award for his Outstanding Driver Safety Performance. Terry has been chosen to join “a select group of prestigious drivers being honored during National Safety Month in June, for their outstanding driving performance and commitment to safety excellence.” Congratulations on both of these achievements!
