Mike Ryan Makes Test Run of Freightliner Century Class S/T Race Truck

 

North Hollywood, CA- Big Rig racer Mike Ryan will conduct the annual
test run of his Freightliner Century Class S/T race truck up Pikes
Peak just outside of Colorado Springs, CO on June 3 & 4, 2006. This
one-of-a-kind race truck was hand built specifically for the Pikes
Peak International Hill Climb. Ryan is currently the record holder
with a time of 12.46.81 and will be competing for his ninth win and

Significant changes have been made to the truck since last years race
including, improved brakes, engine cooling, handling and suspension.
The test run will ensure that everything is functioning properly and
allow enough time to make any adjustments prior to the race. For

Prior to the test run, Ryan will be visiting students at the Laramie,
Wyoming campus of Wyotech, a leader in quality technical training.
