Schneider helps owner-operators jump-start careers
Schneider National has introduced a financing program to reduce the barriers for drivers looking to become owner-operators for the first time. The new “No Credit Check Smart Start Lease Purchase” program is offered by Schneider Finance, a truck-financing affiliate of Schneider National. The program presents a no-money-down, low-monthly-payment leasing option on late-model trucks for owner-operators and includes access to a nationwide maintenance program. Applicants will not be subject to a credit check to obtain the lease.

It marked the second consecutive year Transport America won the award.
Barr-Nunn celebrates year of lease-purchase program
Barr-Nunn Transportation recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its successful lease-purchase program. The program offers low weekly payments with minimal money down and no balloon payments at the end of the lease period. To ensure that contractors obtain the support they deserve, the program also provides members with an engine warranty. With a set-up that allows drivers to own their vehicles in less than 27 months, it is no wonder this program is turning into such a success story.

KLLM offers incentive plan for new drivers
KLLM Transportation Services announced an expanded incentive plan to reward lead drivers, contractors and lease-purchase contractors when they join the company or when they refer another driver who joins the company. New KLLM lead drivers, contractors and lease-purchase contractors will receive $1,000 when they sign on to drive for KLLM. In addition, another $1,000 bonus will be paid to any KLLM driver for referring a driver who is later hired. “We understand that switching jobs is an expense for drivers,” says Kirk Blankenship, KLLM’s director of driver resources. “Our sign-on bonuses make it a little easier for them to go through that transition period.”
