Schneider honored by Wal-Mart, JCPenney
Schneider National has been selected as the 2007 Intermodal Carrier of the Year by Wal-Mart. “Receiving this award from Wal-Mart is a great honor for our organization and a clear demonstration of the high level of service we provide,” said Bill Matheson, president of Schneider National Intermodal. Schneider was also has named the Supply Chain Provider of the Year for 2007 by JCPenney.

Ruan Transport joins SmartWay

Con-way Truckload honors Drivers of the Month
Con-way Truckload announced the following monthly driver award recipients for June 2008: company driver–William Everett; company team–Paul and Betsy Bowerbank; contractor driver–Roger Parker; contractor team– John and Sherry Hufford. Driver of the month winners are automatically nominated for Con-way Truckload’s year-end driver of the year awards in their respective categories.
Owner-operator completes lease at Boyd Bros.
Jerry Clay, an owner-operator with Boyd Bros. Transportation, recently paid off the four-year lease on his 2002 International a year early. “I have to give all the credit to my driver manager. He has kept me above water. I have had very few low paying weeks,” Clay said.
