Driven Women

Cheating hubby

Dear GG—I am the wife of an OTR driver. I have caught him cheating several times. I’m not sure if he is doing it now, but I would like to know if you have any suggestions of how to catch a cheating hubby.
I live in Maryland, while he goes God knows where in that truck (which I hate). No matter how little or much money he seems to make, it is always the truck. I don't know what to do. Can you help please? We have two young kids at home, and I don't need him bringing anything home to me. Please, any insight you may have would help a lot. Thank you again.
     M. S., Maryland

Hi. I won’t tell you how to catch your husband cheating; that’s ludicrous. His cheating is but a symptom of a bigger problem; it may be him, you or more often than not, both. Or are you simply suspicious because of the past?
You’ve been here before, M.S. What will change if you catch him cheating? Are you prepared to handle the truth? What’s your Plan B?
A marriage is worth fighting for, but not at the cost of the children.
Children suffer in a hostile, fearful and emotionally strained environment. If you have created this for your kids, shame on you.
And don’t blame “the truck!” Infidelity occurs among all professions and has no financial qualifications. Cheating with a CDL simply affords the driver with more options and a quick get-away.
It's time you two make some tough decisions. Whether it’s real or imagined, something’s not working.
     Cheers,
     GG

P.S. If your wife’s initials are M.S. and you live in MD, you’re busted!
